Last year marked the 70th anniversary of the Korean War. This three-year long conflict in Korea has been dubbed “the Forgotten War” over the years due to coverage being censored and being overshadowed by World War II and the Vietnam War.
Originally scheduled for last year, the reenactment will now take place from June 19 – 20 at 275 Upton Dr. in St. Joseph, Michigan. Some of the weekend highlights include battle reenactments plus a flamethrower; military displays with vehicles, weapons and supplies; special speakers; food booths; free rides on WWII watercraft; and a free Rolling Stones Tribute Band concert on Saturday. Please bring your own chair if you attend the concert.
As part of the anniversary remembrance, Board President of Lest We Forget, Larry Wozniak, will be at the COA Lowe Center to give a presentation about Korea: the Forgotten War.
