Stay Active. Stay Strong. Stay Independent.

As we age, maintaining physical health becomes increasingly important. Reduced flexibility and range of motion in joints, muscles, and bones can present daily challenges. However, regular physical activity can help you stay mobile, independent, and energized.

Exercise not only strengthens your body but also significantly lowers the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer. It can reduce stress, improve sleep, enhance mood, and support healthy skin and bones.

How much exercise is right for you depends on your individual health and your physician’s guidance. Adults age 65 and older are generally encouraged to aim for at least 2.5 hours of moderate activity per week. This doesn’t have to mean intense workouts—brisk walking, stretching, and low-impact strength exercises all make a difference. And it’s never too late to start. No matter your age or fitness level, you can begin incorporating physical activity and experience meaningful benefits.
