Volunteer
If you are looking for a worthwhile place to volunteer, look no further. The COA has 300 volunteers, each of whom is highly appreciated and recognized for their time and commitment to the COA. Examples of the volunteer acknowledgment include: a free lunch in the COA dining room during each shift and an annual volunteer recognition dinner extravaganza every April. But, most importantly, you will be able to touch people and make a difference in their lives. Our volunteer activities include, but are not limited to:

Current Cass COA Volunteer Needs
Drivers
Meals on Wheels Drivers
Meals on Wheels drivers drive one route a week. The position involves coming to the COA between 9:30 and 10 a.m. to pick up meals to deliver to seniors in the community. Drivers are reimbursed for their mileage from the COA and back to the COA at the government rate which is currently 51 cents per mile.
Medical Transportation Drivers
We are also in need of medical transportation drivers. This group of drivers pick up seniors within Cass County and transport them to out-of-county medical appointments. Drivers are reimbursed mileage from their home and back to their home, at the current rate of 51 cents per mile. There is a great need for drivers who are willing to get a chauffeur's license, which we will reimburse you for. These drivers would come to the COA and drive our medical transport van.
